Since I'm working at my new company, I've become a lot more discipline. I cook all my meals instead of buying out, did laundry 3-4 times a week, wake up early to prepare my lunchbox, and taking the bus to and from work.

It has been very much liberating and I'm loving it. Although I do miss my family and the thought of spending lesser time with them do saddens me, but I know this is a very much needed step to achieve my life goals.

One of my main reason on why I really want to experience living alone is, to get a taste of independence while I'm still not tied to any commitment in life a.k.a before spending the rest of my life with someone in the future (insyaAllah).

I consider this experience as a trial period on this new living situation. However, my ultimate goal would be a permanent move out of my parents house one day. When that happens, I'm hoping to stay in a studio apartment by myself - no housemates, just pure independence. So with that, I need to be okay with spending a whole chunk of my paycheck on rent alone - which is not easy!

I'm happy that I get to fulfill 2 of the things I kept mentioning to my friends for the past 2 years. One being the plan to leave my company and two being the plan to live alone. I know people always talk about the former but never actually end up doing it, but I'm glad I am actually able to. It felt like I'm keeping the promise I made to my past self.

About living alone, I think it's pretty nice for me because of how convenient everything currently is. My housemates are clean people, my living space is decently-sized, the condo has great amenities, there's bus stop downstairs that takes me to my workplace in 20 mins (normal traffic), the condo also has 99 Speedmart and Eco Shop right below, the bus also directly connects to the MRT station, which makes going to my parents' home super convenient for me.

All the accommodation hunting from my frequent travels has given me hands-on experience at finding the perfect living space for my personal needs. It's exactly why I love these kinds of experiences!

The work itself is a steep learning curve for me. Not only that the tech stack is fairly new, my coworkers are also super good in programming! Well, I'm actually glad cos it means I'm literally learning more within the past week than I ever did in the past 6 months at my old company, but it also means that whenever they discuss about their code or logic, I'm still struggling to make sense of things quickly. It's so hard to keep up with them and I think this is gonna take me awhile.

My boss and department are pretty okay so far. The department has 3 different teams so it's not that big but at the same time, it's not that small. My team has only 3 people including me. I'm not sure how I get to be here cos honestly imposter syndrome is hitting me pretty hard. Frankly speaking, these teammates were my interviewers for the 2 rounds of interview, so I'm really curious to know what was it that set me apart from the rest. I felt like a total noob and beginner at my job right now.

My skills are obviously not as high as them so I wonder what made them see that I might be a good addition to the team. I think I did show my lack of knowledge even back during the interview, so I'm really questioning their decision about hiring me. Plus, hiring a Malay girl among 2 Chinese guys is not really a typical move?? Chinese IT guys are really power ok.

I'm really out of place here. Like what could I possibly said or shown that could impress these interviewers... Who knows? It's too early to bring this question up but hoping they don't get too surprised with my subpar programming skills. Hope they don't regret hiring me and I can get through this 6-months probation period unscathed.

Pray for me.

I've been feeling sore around my neck for quite some time. I guess working from home all day and the lack of exercise routine is surely taking a toll on my body. So earlier this year, in January, I went for a massage. It was my first ever massage session.

At that time, I was considering regular massage sessions bcos I thought it could relief my soreness. Unfortunately, after the first session, instead of feeling relieved, I was actually in more pain.

I did shoulder and feet massage and for the whole week I was having trouble moving around bcos the massage spots were super sore. At first I thought it was normal, but my friend told me that it wasn't. I didn't go for any other massage after that.

However, I did started to jog outside for about 30 mins a day. That massage session made me realize how sore my shoulder was and how unfit I was becoming. Even during fasting month, I replaced the jog with walk to keep this habit going.

Also back in April, I actually went on my first ever solo trip to Korea but as soon as I got back, I started feeling pain on my right knee. The pain was so bad that I couldn't even properly kneel down during prayer. Initially I thought it would subside after awhile and it was probably just a post-travel thing since I walked more than usual during my travel, but I was wrong bcos it wasn't going away.

Roughly 2 months in, that was the first time I heard my knee popped. I did feel a short relieved but the pain was still there. The pain and popping went on and off for about 4 months.

During the whole 4 months, I continued with my daily walk to get my steps of at least 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day, which is equivalent to an hour plus of brisk walking. The pain got more disturbing as I could hardly walk up and down the stairs without feeling a sharp pain.

Then suddenly I came across a tweet recommending a chiropractic centre. That was my first time hearing about this option. Not long after seeing that, I saw a post on Tiktok about a girl ignoring her knee pain and ended up getting diagnosed with cancer. Not gonna lie, I started overthinking.

I told my family that I'm tempted to try chiropractic. But my family told me to go for a doctor check-up at the clinic first bcos they didn't think it was serious enough. Well, I did went not long after I came back from Korea. That time the doctor told me that it was bcos of my tendons and I was only prescribed with painkillers. The doctor couldn't give a more detailed explanation so I was quite reluctant to go back thinking I might hear the same thing.

I scraped that thought for awhile but I kept on complaining to my family about my knee. 2 weeks later, my mum told me I should just go for chiropractic.

After getting a green light from my mum, I tried to find a chiropractic centre near my house. I found a few at SS2 but I hesitated bcos I didn't like driving there and the prices were quiet expensive for first time treatment.

That is how I came across Wellsworth Chiropractic and Physiotherapy Centre at SS7. I inquired on WhatsApp and found out that they're having a promo on free consultation for first time visits and that their pricing system were flat rate of RM100 for consultation and RM160 for treatment. Their doctors are also all female, so since it checks out all of my boxes, I thought I would give it a try.

Chiropractic

During my first visit, the chiropractor - Dr. Mag, basically asked few questions to understand my areas of concerns. I told her about my knee pain being the main concern and the neck being the secondary concern. She examined my body and explained to me what she discovered.
My chiropractor explaining about my condition
She told me that I actually have flat feet on my right leg. The flat feet causes pressure on the inner part of my legs. She also told me I have a mild case of knock knee. It is a position where my knee is mostly facing inwards and feet facing outwards bcos the muscles are pulled from the inside more due to the flat feet.

I learnt so much from that alone. I never knew I had flat feet. I thought my feet were normal, but apparently the arch on my feet wasn't really arching, thus causes it to be flat.

We also found out that my legs weren't the same length. My right leg was shorter than my left.

Basically the pain on my knee was caused by the muscles being pulled more on one side than the other.

After explaining everything, she suggested me to go for a physio session as well. Although she could help with the adjustment of my bones, it is better to not depend on the adjustment alone. Adjustment is only a temporary solution and at the end of the day, our body should be able to function on its own.

It is also preferred for me to come again for another checking next week. When asked whether it had to be weekly, she explained that she would prefer to not have to do the same adjustment again the next time as it would make the treatment less effective.

She also suggested me to undergo a physiotherapy session to strengthen my muscle as my muscles were weak.

So I decided to follow her suggested treatment for chiro and physio, and buy their 4-session package to use it as a weekly checkup for a month.

I don't think I was being pressured with the marketing at all. She answered my question and treated me like a patient than a customer. I like to believe that I make this decision solely for my own health benefits bcos I was so satisfied with the service. I paid RM560 for 4 sessions so that is RM140 per session, which to me is such a good deal for chiropractic and physiotherapy.
Adjustment to my lower back
After the chiro, I noticed a difference in the way I walk. My feet are no longer facing outwards like it previously did and my right knee was finally no longer in pain. I even felt the difference in the length of my legs while walking after the adjustment haha.

The next week, I went in for a small adjustment on my neck. Dr. Mag told me that she won't consider it as her session for this one bcos she would want to see me on my last session at the end of the month. So the plan is basically 2 sessions for chiro and 2 sessions for physio.

After the neck crack, I continue with my first physiotherapy session with Jescy.

Physiotherapy

Since Dr. Mag had briefed Jescy on my condition, she didn't have to start from zero. She begin with examining the muscles around my neck and knee. She told me that my neck is indeed very stiff and it is bcos of muscle knots.

The treatment session was basically her relieving all the muscle knots on my neck, shoulder, lower back and knee - which is basically my entire body. The whole session literally felt like a massage. It was so good. I could feel her putting pressure on my pain spots and I could literally feel the difference before and after the muscle knots being untangled. I could tell how big the knot on my dominant side was compared to the other side. It was amazing.

It was quiet a scary sight tho bcos she literally presses me using her elbow and that was painful, but it was such a good pain.

She told me that I have weak muscle so the next session, she will teach me strengthening exercises. She also taught me stretching to help with my muscle tension.

I asked her what causes weak muscle and she explained that our muscle have memory and bcos I was previously active but stopped for a long while, the muscles now contracts (meaning it is shorten) and that causes the stiffness.

Basically, my sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise is the root cause of my issue. She highlighted that my daily walk isn't enough, which makes sense bcos I once played softball and obviously playing a sport uses more muscle than merely walking.

I was pleasantly surprise with this physio session. I thought physiotherapy is about me doing exercises and the therapist just looking over me. But turns out they also do "massage" (at least that's what it felt like) which is much more effective than the ones we usually go to. This one really focus on my pain spots with great knowledge of the muscles instead of applying the same pressure all over the body.

Jescy taught me several stretching exercises and sent me some pictures as reference bcos there is no way I would remember how to do all 9 exercises she demonstrated haha. She even explained which muscle each exercise is meant to help me and where I need to feel the tension.

I came out of the room feeling super relieved with all the muscles not feeling stiff anymore. I haven't feel this relieved in so long. So worth the buck! I'm glad I decide to go for a proper treatment than just trying out different massage bcos this is definitely what I needed more.

I'm so excited to go for my next session.

Although the clinic just opened 2 months ago, the doctors are definitely experienced and willing to give you the best treatment. I'd definitely recommend this place to my friends!

My previous two updates were a little glimpse of some heart fluttering moments at work.

At this point, work has really taken over my life. It's something that I'm still mentally getting used to. Not having enough me time sometimes really drive me mad. Occurrences like those previous stories are what makes it a little fun, I guess.

A lot of things didn't get updated on here and I kinda felt sad that I didn't have enough time to sit down and properly think it through with words.

To say the least, I went to a concert in Bangkok twice within 2 months! I already bought plane tickets for a solo trip to Korea next year! And I got covid during raya this year! (I wrote all about this but just realized, I didn't post it haih)

Heck, I didn't even update how I got into AB6IX this year! Honestly, it all happened too fast.

Occasionally thinking of my blog really made me miss student life - a period of life where I actually felt like I had ample of me time.

This particular post has no meaning, other than an expression of sadness I'm having towards adulthood.

For now, leaving you with the song I had on loop for the past month, from a fictional group I wished was real;

LUNA is a group from the kdrama "Let Me Be Your Knight". In my opinion, their songs (they sang and released five songs) are way better than the kdrama "Imitation".

I wondered why this drama didn't get as much attention when it was showing 😕 But even I only watched it for AB6IX's Donghyun lol

So I wasn't able to achieve all of my 2021 resolutions... and I kinda expected that. My intention was not to check as many boxes as I can from that list. It was to just get myself moving closer towards my bigger goals and with that, I can proudly say that I've succeeded!

My 2021 resolutions were
1. Graduate with at least 3.5 CGPA
2. Build micro habit system
3. Upload more kpop covers that I did in 2019
4. Rebuild that emergency fund
5. Upload a blog post at least once a month

The only goals I didn't achieve were those which were no longer my top priorities as much as I thought it was.

Sure, I love to have myself upload a post here every month. Trust me, I did draft something each month. But I guess, there's just other things I wished to spend more time on than writing a post for the sake of it.

A lot of things happened and I kinda lost touch from them since I didn't record the events at all. Well, to me, that is somewhat a good sign because I used to write when things get tough to vent out my frustrations. So when I write less, it also means that I am less stressed.

All in all, I'm truly happy this year. My life received so many intangible blessings and intrinsic satisfaction. I learnt a lot about myself. I achieved so much within my own capacity that matters a lot to me alone. It just felt good to be happy about yourself on your own. I kinda stop worrying wanting to show people what I can do and what they might think of it. Sometimes, I get proud of myself for doing things for myself. I just love that I am always my own priority, as selfish as that sounds oops.

But it's true. My ultimate goals won't matter if I'm NOT doing those for myself.

So to end the year, here are my 2022 resolutions that I'm not putting much thought on in listing down because I already have the bigger picture in mind.

1. Finish 3 self-help books.
2. Invest RM5000 in total.
3. Limit my spending to lesser than RM600 per month.
4. Reach 3500 skips a day.
5. Be more generous with friends and family.
6. Complete a Javascript course.
7. Complete a Laravel framework project tutorial.
8. Fast every Monday and Thursday for 6 months (excluding Ramadhan month).

I do have more smaller goals but I'm putting the hard or almost impossible ones here so that I am more keen in pushing myself further.

It might seem a lot to focus on in that list, but I've actually been partly doing all of those in my life already. I'm just enhancing what I've already been doing so that I could stick with it longer to reap more benefits in the future.

I'm so excited for the upcoming year. I'm saving so much for a travel trip and hoping I could save the amount I expected by the end of 2022. Pray for me!

On an ending note, I pray that everyone reading this have an amazing and blessed year ahead! InsyaAllah~

Last year I posted a 2020 resolutions for the upcoming year, so this end of the year is the perfect time to review them before the step into a new year.

Below is my resolutions listed with the ones that I have and haven't completed:

My 2020 resolutions

1. Overcome my hate of sharing my belongings.
2. Finish analysing the Korean poetry book for vocabs.
3. Build a system I could be proud of for PSM (final year project).
4. Start an investment account.
5. Upload more kpop covers than I did in 2019.
6. Start work earlier than the rest.
7. Join a club or have some commitment.
8. Decide on what to pursue after degree and where is a fun place to intern.
9. Learn to cook simple dishes.
10. Work on any sort of craft and improve.

To summarize, I only achieved 3 things out of 10 of them. Not a great achievement tbh but mainly bcos my interest has just been changing this past year.

I realized that some of the things listed are actually harder to achieve since I'm still a student and very much restricted. Some other really just went south because of my incompetency and lack of proficiency. Probably expected too much from myself.

With that, here's a 2021 version of it.

My 2021 Resolutions

1. Graduate degree with at least a 3.5 CGPA

Currently no longer a 3.5 pointer student huhu.

2. Build a micro-habit system

I've seen a video talking about building micro-habits and was totally up for it. However, I haven't been setting up one for myself and feel like I should any time soon. So, I'm looking forward to building that system and incorporate that into my life by the end of next year.

3. Upload more kpop covers than I did in 2019.

I'm gonna re-attempt this resolution simply because I've actually been disappointed in myself of not achieving this in the past year.

4. Rebuild that emergency fund

I was actually close to setting aside RM1000 in my emergency fund back in 2019 but failed because I ended up using it to fund my exchange programme and Korea trip. In 2020, I didn't have much to save and financially was pretty tough. But I've been trying to build my emergency fund back and I'm gonna work harder in being strict about it this time.

2021 goal: RM1000

5. Post at least once in each month

The best feeling is when I read back all my archive and relive each moments long after it happened. It's honestly why I kept this blog for so long even when nobody really reads them. Documenting my life through this blog is probably one of the happiest decisions I've ever made in my life.

I think that would be all that I'm gonna put out there. I'll leave the rest of the resolutions to my journal as they're pretty personal 🤭

It's weird that I've not been on my laptop as much as I used to since the Movement Control Order (MCO) started. My friends and I were staying away from our families for a good month before I was allowed to go back home. Honestly, it didn't bother me much, because things wouldn't have been so different anyway. We even had fun on certain nights (movies, UNO, poker) and cold war on others HAHAH what a fun time staying at home with your other close friends.

"Comfort; the enemy of progress"
- P.T Barnum, The Greatest Showman

I think life has been hard only for a reason. We feel tied down. By different opinions, different expectations and different obligations.

I actually have a confession to make. Remember about the crush I had? Guess it's time for me to move on now.

But... moving on from a certain feeling towards someone, as you know it, is hard - whether it's like or dislike. So to slap myself from it, I did a lot of recalculation to where my life is heading. My goals and dreams. I am the kind of someone who plans and then would work around my plannings. I might seem to always yolo, but truth is most of the things I have is mostly planned by me. Then the rest of whether it happen or not, are decided by Him.

For a fact, I planned to take a course in IT. And I've been granted a place in the diploma program at my university. I planned to work at a cafe after SPM. And I landed a job as a barista for 6 months. I planned to get a school loan when I realised uni life costs me a lot. And I got a not-much-but-enough convertible loan from the state's government starting from my 3rd semester.

See, these are all my plans. Obviously, there's a looot more small things that I wish to have but they don't always come easy. Some may happen by luck, but most time it's always the effort, the prayers, the constant battle to give my best.

Back to the story. I now decided that boys should stop being my focus. However, they will still be in my girl talks and my fangirling moments cos girls will be girls, but I now should tone it down a little bit more. Why? Bcos if according to my plan, I never had the intention to be in a relationship before marriage. Honestly speaking, I do not know when my heart would change on this matter, but this is my current stand as a Muslim who wishes to follow the Islamic way of marriage. It's something I had in mind ever since I had my first (and last) 'couple' experience in standard 6.

Being in a relationship before marriage is useless. Especially as a Muslim. Bcos you are forbidden to do pretty much everything anyway. Hold hands? Have physical contact? Don't even wish. "Jangan kau dekati zina", remember? Going out on a date with a guy also needs a wali, by right. So yeah properly speaking, it's useless.

Now what I had in mind is that... 25. 25 years old. That will be the year I will try and settle down. I will roughly graduate bachelor's degree at the age of 23 then I'm gonna move out. I'm planning to rent a studio apartment for myself and live alone while getting a job. This phase will be where my adulting skills will take place. Paying my own bill, rent, groceries, do my own cleaning, washing, cooking and tryna survive life and go far from my comfort zone. I need to become good at this bcos once I get married, starting a family will not be any easier. Now every time I think of marriage, tbh I don't deserve it. Not at the moment at least. Apa je I boleh buat bila nak kena layan suami, sedangkan diri pun tak terurus.

I was told that this will be what everybody would want to happen, but reality check and none of this takes place bcos once you live alone, it's less likely you gonna cook. Life is gonna be same as it were in uni basically. Hidup bujang la kan. But psft, not gonna look at anyone else. If this is meant to go as planned, then insyaAllah let Him decide the rest.

Yeah. Pretty much my thoughts right now. In conclusion, I nak move on so pls lend me your prayers. K thanks bye.

Recently, I've been up for contests that I can participate in order for me to gain anything out of it. Frankly speaking, money is always the goal... Starting from this semester, I wanna be as independent as I can from my parents' support. With that being said, I've actually planned it beforehand ever since my sem break few months back.

I did the promoters job as a side-hustle for a couple of weekends before my sem starts, to earn some cash. I applied for a convertible loan from my State's office and finally passed all the stages. I submitted my poetry for a National contest though I didn't win anything. I entered a talent show at my university on Monday, performed spoken word poetry then managed to win 2nd place (cash prize yaww). I entered a National video contest about our environment and still waiting for the result. WATCH HERE. Also entered the 1theK dance cover contest, and still not know of the result. WATCH HERE.

UPDATE: I didn't win 1theK dance cover contest this time, but still proud of it for being one of my best effort so far lol.

UPDATE 2: But alhamdulillah, I won 3rd place for the National video competition - MyTreevolution.

All in all, I'm trying a lot more things than I did last sem. Just as planned. Some may lead to one place, some may end there. But the thing that matters is my effort and willingness upon completing every single plan. Even after all those hardwork, and if people tell me it isn't that great, at least to me it felt the best and that is all that matters. Win or lose is a bet I am willing to take, even if I'm doing it wrong I don't want to regret not giving a shot, so don't take it too hard if your opinion was ignored. I wanna prove to myself that I can handle things on my own. All I'm asking is for your support, nothing more and hopefully I can manage it well. Amiin.

It's another new year and I hv so many things I planned to do. Little by little hopefully with God's will I will do it. Since 2016 has just begun and I know that I'll eventually forget my dreams as the time passed by. So I decided to share it on my blog just so I am able to reflect back on things in the future. ((Tho I expect myself to be on a hiatus once in awhile, sorry))

I divided my plans into goals, dreams and wishes. Here it goes.

Goals:
1. To find a suitable public university to enter and enroll myself for the July intake.
2. To buy a laptop for college with the budget of RM2000 with my own well-earned money.
3. To learn one full length KPop dance routine and dances well to it.
4. Go to a concert ((Will be going to 5SOS' on March as I already bought the tix))
5. Get a driver's license.
6. Make a beautiful latte art and upload it on Twitter and Instagram.
7. Be active on social media but not too addicted to them (Twitter: @AmelynnHisham, Ig: @AmelynnHisham)

Dreams:
1. Turn this blog into a famous one where it can be useful to others in the future. I'll make it into my own kinda blog with things that I am interested in.
2. Be a great computer science student and be a potential future software engineer.
3. Stay in touch with my group of close friends.
4. Make videos and upload it on youtube for my best friend to tell her how my college life has been like.
5. Be a fluent Korean and ASL speaker.

Wishes:
1. I wish to go to Korea on a backpackers trip with my bestie. Spend the week or month there.
2. Dresses well but just enough to impress myself.
3. Have lesser pimples and clearer looking bare face.
4. Improve social skills and talking skills.
5. Learn Korean and ASL.
6. Make videos.
7. Penny board for fun and travel a lot using it. (Will be buying a fake one soon)

Now I shall end it here. Here's a couple of differences I wanna highlight between the three categories. Goals are short-term achievements that I want to earn and should be completed within the year, dreams are long-term goals that I dream of becoming and lastly wishes are something I wish to do at this age.

This is nothing important to anyone other than myself. It is just a note-to-self. Thanks for wasting your time reading anyway bye.

HAPPY 2014 PEEPS!!! Hope it's not too late though.
Also kudos to those who sings to the title of this entry!

Well, we're already coming to the end of the second week of January and that means it has also been 2 weeks since my form 4 life started... and as expected, homework are definitely piling up, the co-curriculum activities are starting to make me busy and school in general is just getting interesting day by day. Especially when I am now in the upper secondary and beginning to learn new subjects.

From being in 3 Cengal, I am now in 4 Science Cengal. I hate the name of this class though. Anyway, I chose to be in the Science stream which means I'm learning add Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics along with the other 5 main subjects. I also voluntarily take an extra subject which I am not very good at... accounts. Heh die lorh /blur

Good news is I'm in the same class with Ka Mun again. Woop woop. It's the least thing that could happen to me after being thrown into a class without any of mah besties.

Last week was the Annual Grand Meeting (aka AGM) and surprisingly I managed to get posts for two out of three of my clubs and society. I am now the official vice president of the softball club and the secretary for YE club (Young Entrepreneur) so yayyy to more responsibilities!! /sweat

And in case any Sri Amanian read my blog (which I highly doubt there would be any), I would like to promote something. On the 16th of January which is this Thursday, the softball club of SMK(P) Sri Aman is glad to announce that there will be a tryout to join our softball school team. Everyone is welcome even though our priority goes to the club members but anyway IF YOU'RE INTERESTED JUST SHOW YOUR FACE AND YOU MIGHT JOIN US IN THE SCHOOL TEAM!

Credits goes to the artistic Ilham!
Other than that, my life is boring. This is just an update. My apology if your time is wasted but that's not my problem so /wahaha

Xx,
Melynn.

Finally I've collected my PMR result yesterday. I managed to get 8freakingAs!!
Psftt, I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but considering I NEVER get 8As for any of my exams this year I am definitely over the moon. The fact that I only got like 4As 4Bs for trial even though my Bs were not below 75% but getting straight As was my personal achievement. Alhamdulilah I am so grateful for this AND MORE.

I thank Allah for this achievement and I am definitely blessed for having such amazing people around me.
I am very thankful for

> My beloved parents
Honestly, I doubt I'm the daughter any parents would be dreaming of. Probably because I have a very lazy ass and I rarely help them with any possible thing a daughter should be doing. But despite that, I believe they have always hoped for the best and getting a good result is the least thing any stubborn child can do to the parents. It's one of the many ways I could do to repay their never-ending sacrifices I owe to them. So, thank you for believing in me and for all the nagging I deserved. I will never stop asking for it.

> My grandma
Without this woman I don't think I would be the person I am today. All the sacrifices she made to make sure I get proper education for my future as well as the knowledge to prepare myself for the hereafter. She has always believe in my brothers and I to make her proud one day. That is the one promise I would try to achieve to repay for the lectures that she gave me every time I see her AND for the money, time and energy she spent for me.

> My teachers
Since kindergarten to secondary school, I have teachers who made my life better by giving me supports and great advice that had always been useful. For instance, when I was in standard 1, my English teacher- Mrs Becky literally dragged me to sit right in front of her because I was too small to sit at the back even though I could see the white board clearly from the back of the class. In a way, without her I don't think I would ever have any friends sitting alone or even concentrate from the back. And I thank her for that. Or the time I started to like sports because my PE teacher let me play even when I didn't know the rules. I enjoy sports but he made me love it.
I could list out more but I wouldn't torture your soul with my boring life.

> My backstabbers whom I love
I learn to make friends and love the misery of having people who pretend to like you or hang out with you for their own good and leave you once they got bored of you. But I still thank them for their care for making me a better person than before.

Basically, I am blessed for everyone I know and met. My PBSA family, my classmates since kindergarten, my relatives or whoever I met in any point of my life. And yes I am not lucky, I am blessed.

Xx,
Melynn.

HEY HEY HEYYY!

I know it's been awhile since the last post (my sincere apology for my laziness). As you might know or might not know, school holidays had started! And it's gonna end in less than a month now... well, 3 more weeks to be exact. It's sad to think that way so I shall not. On the bright side we still got time before school re-opens yeeep >.<

Basically what have I been doing for the past 2 months...?
Let's see.

I have been learning to crochet through YouTube this holiday... It can be very confusing at times but y'know it's part of the learning process and so far I enjoy crocheting. If you're a beginner and wondering where to buy cheap acrylic yarn balls, try Daiso (a 100 Yen shop from Japan that sells everything for 100 Yen or RM5 each item). I bought my yarn balls and crochet hook there. The quality are fine but nothing much to expect for a RM5 item... it's great if you just starting to learn knitting or crocheting.

Moving on,

Sooo recently, I went to a private 1D event organised by Sony Music Malaysia. It's an album launching party for One Direction's newest album Midnight Memories. The theme was "pyjamas party" if you can't read the poster already. Sony conducted an Instagram contest where directioners were asked to post pictures describing their life and they'll pick 5 winners a day. Each winner can bring 4 friends along to the event.
So Ka Mun and I decided to try but we had no luck UNTIL one of the winner can't go so she post an Instavid saying she's letting someone else take her place. That's when Ka Mun saw her post and contacted her through fb. And so there we are enjoying ourselves.
Plus, I also met a new friend. She was one of my group mates during the party. She is the youngest in the group but the friendliest I must say. Here's a selfie of us ehehe. Meet Nysha, everybody!!! She's 14 but obviously taller than me sigh!

The next thing that happen was... wayyyy before the school holiday starts, one of the club that I joined at school (the Rukunegara club yeah I know lame... But at least we got to go overseas) had a trip to BRUNEI and so I went there along with 9 other students which include some of the form 3s who are Ka Mun, Nadhirah Ali, Afaf and Nurin (who was also our teacher-in-charge's daughter) while the rest are form 4s and one form 1.
Nothing much happened. We visited museums, two of their famous mosques- Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque- , the famous Kampung Ayer- which was the village on water- and we went to one of the school there which was SM Saiyyidina Hasan. The students at the school were all so friendly and treated us so well. We went for a school tour and we also had the chance to sit in a class together with them and experience their learning method.
It was a fun 3 days and 2 nights in Brunei. The country was very small but we managed to do many things and learn lots of things about their beautiful peaceful and historical country.
P.S. The food that we ate for the whole trip there was beyond our expectations. The trip definitely worth more than the RM200 we paid.

Here's one of the many souvenirs received.
And so the rest of my days I spent at home watching movies and TV shows online, some of it I had outings with my besties and going for some book sales. This school holidays won't be another waste of holidays so I'm intended to do more beneficial activities before it ends in 3 weeks.
P.S. My PMR result is out in 2 weeks (23rd December) I'm scared.

*Latest update: PMR result is out on the 19th. NOW I AM EVEN MORE TERRIFIED.

Xx,
Melynn.

Wowowowoah whether you realise it or not, I haven't blog for almost a year. It's already June and this is officially my FIRST entry of the year (which is not what to be proud of). I can't remember what happened to me after I turned 14 last year. I honestly thought I did at least post smtg on December or anytime during end-of-the-year holidays... which somehow I didn't, sorryyy.

Don't worry I won't talk any longer about how long it had been since my last update, so MOVING ONNN!
My mid-term break is gonna end in about 24 hours while my homework are still scattered everywhere around my room like the 2 weeks of holidays haven't even started. Haiiih. Life.

At the moment I'm completing my Civics homework and I was planning to do my Geography assignment that was supposed to be handed in 2 weeks ago *troll face* tonight... YEAH YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! I STILL HAVEN'T DONE A 2-WEEKS-AGO-WORK THAT NEED TO BE HANDED IN 24 HOURS! Queen of procrastinator? I thought so. Oh and did I mentioned I'm a school prefect? Oops.

I really miss blogging and expressing my true self on the net like nobody's business but what can I say? Stupid. School. Life.

By the wayyy, do any of you know McFly? It's a British pop-rock band that consists of 4 members namely Tom Fletcher (he's like a walking-songwriting-machine. He's my favourite geek in the band!), Danny Jones (my favourite joker of the band because he's just too stupid to not be loved), Dougie Poynter (the youngest member of the band. He's an awesome bassist! And a hot one too. Not even kidding.) and last but not least *drumroll pleaaassseeee* MY FAVOURITE DRUMMER OF ALL TIME.... Harry Judd! Haha oh the irony. (Get it? Drumroll? Cause he's a drummah?) Did I mention I have a different feeling towards drummers? Idek why but it's true.
Anywhooo, you're definitely missing a lot if you never heard of them or their music. Seriously.

And and I'm making a special paragraph fooooor ONE DIRECTION FOR LAUNCHING A NEW FRAGRANCE!! Ahhhh! Somebody buy that for me as a birthday gift? Puhleaaase?? With a whipped cream and a strawberry on top (p.s. I hate cherries). Congrats on OUR MOMENT, boys! I'm sooo gonna get it, even if it's only the sample pack but I'm gonna smell it... soon!

Guess that's it. I'm actually spending more time on this post than my homework. Aha, I'm gonna write more about myself and what's on with my life soon. It may sound boring but just bear with me. I've lots and lots and LOTS OF STORIES TO SHARE. From life as a junior to being a total idiot among the fashionistas at school but heyyhoo isn't this life we're talking about? Okay guys, cheerioss! (I don't really like Cheerios, as in the cereal... but it sounds like a nice tagline. Hah)

Cheers, have a fine day!

Xx,
Melynn.
