Updates for Holidays
HEY HEY HEYYY!
I know it's been awhile since the last post (my sincere apology for my laziness). As you might know or might not know, school holidays had started! And it's gonna end in less than a month now... well, 3 more weeks to be exact. It's sad to think that way so I shall not. On the bright side we still got time before school re-opens yeeep >.<
Basically what have I been doing for the past 2 months...?
Let's see.
I have been learning to crochet through YouTube this holiday... It can be very confusing at times but y'know it's part of the learning process and so far I enjoy crocheting. If you're a beginner and wondering where to buy cheap acrylic yarn balls, try Daiso (a 100 Yen shop from Japan that sells everything for 100 Yen or RM5 each item). I bought my yarn balls and crochet hook there. The quality are fine but nothing much to expect for a RM5 item... it's great if you just starting to learn knitting or crocheting.
Moving on,

Sooo recently, I went to a private 1D event organised by Sony Music Malaysia. It's an album launching party for One Direction's newest album Midnight Memories. The theme was "pyjamas party" if you can't read the poster already. Sony conducted an Instagram contest where directioners were asked to post pictures describing their life and they'll pick 5 winners a day. Each winner can bring 4 friends along to the event.
So Ka Mun and I decided to try but we had no luck UNTIL one of the winner can't go so she post an Instavid saying she's letting someone else take her place. That's when Ka Mun saw her post and contacted her through fb. And so there we are enjoying ourselves.
Plus, I also met a new friend. She was one of my group mates during the party. She is the youngest in the group but the friendliest I must say. Here's a selfie of us ehehe. Meet Nysha, everybody!!! She's 14 but obviously taller than me sigh!
The next thing that happen was... wayyyy before the school holiday starts, one of the club that I joined at school (the Rukunegara club yeah I know lame... But at least we got to go overseas) had a trip to BRUNEI and so I went there along with 9 other students which include some of the form 3s who are Ka Mun, Nadhirah Ali, Afaf and Nurin (who was also our teacher-in-charge's daughter) while the rest are form 4s and one form 1.
Nothing much happened. We visited museums, two of their famous mosques- Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque- , the famous Kampung Ayer- which was the village on water- and we went to one of the school there which was SM Saiyyidina Hasan. The students at the school were all so friendly and treated us so well. We went for a school tour and we also had the chance to sit in a class together with them and experience their learning method.
It was a fun 3 days and 2 nights in Brunei. The country was very small but we managed to do many things and learn lots of things about their beautiful peaceful and historical country.
P.S. The food that we ate for the whole trip there was beyond our expectations. The trip definitely worth more than the RM200 we paid.
Here's one of the many souvenirs received. |
P.S. My PMR result is out in 2 weeks (23rd December) I'm scared.
*Latest update: PMR result is out on the 19th. NOW I AM EVEN MORE TERRIFIED.
Xx,
Melynn.
