Unpleasantly pleasing

Today I went to my manager's - Kak Lynn long-awaited wedding. But before that...

Last night I slept over at my coworker's house - Fiqah. I went to her house last time on the day we had our staff party so that makes this the 2nd visit. It was because Fiqah is her bridesmaid so she had to be early and I was dragged into coming together somewhat. The problem is that things weren't planned out right from the start. From the time we wanted to leave the house til the start of the event, it's a mess. Fiqah didn't properly discuss with her parents on the timing and such so we rushed getting ready and going there. However, going there early wasn't planned. Turns out Kak Lynn was still at the masjid to nikah. Us being total strangers from the family can only sit down and wait for one whole hour until we finally got in-touch with Kak Lynn.

The only part I think picture-worthy
Not to make it sound bad but the place of the wedding is close to the outskirts of town though not exactly, but just to give you the picture. It's understandable that the day before it rained heavily. It's been that way for the past week. I should've expected worse case scenarios knowing Kak Lynn and all but I guess I was being too yolo that I didn't give it a second what ifs... The place was full of mud everywhere, like legitly the ground was sooo moist that made me regretted wearing such a nice new heels to the wedding. Walking around just felt wayyy more uncomfortable than it could've been if I just wore something as simple as flats.

Since the night before I had a sleepover, I was carrying a load to the wedding. In order to keep it safe out of sight I requested to leave it inside Kak Lynn's room. She had her touch-up done in another room so she locked it up with a legit lock. I didn't know she did until I was rushing going home.

My family came to the wedding (because I told them to) but they came too early than I expected. It was 11.55am when the wedding is 'planned' to start at 12.30pm. It's kinda annoying that they came early just so that I could go back early before it even started. I mean they said it in a jokingly manner that made me pissed off so badly. It started slightly later so that is already bothering me. I told them to come after Zuhur and I wouldn't mind but coming when it's not even 12pm and blaming me to keep them waiting really engaged my temper. Dah la tu, I was the last minute bridesmaid for Kak Lynn's sister-in-law. She had a double wedding ceremony along with her younger brother. The more I am forced to stay when at the same time my whole family was rushing me back /floor

As soon as kompang, berarak and all those merenjis bagai done I quickly took my seat and ate as fast as I could. I requested another 15 mins from my dad (who is already waiting in the car with the rest of my fam) and was scolded to shorten it to 10 mins... I told him "ok" though in reality it's not even possible unless you want me to choke all my food in that is. I bid the rest of my coworkers who came farewell and rushed back inside the house to get my bag. As expected, it's lock. I HAD A PANIC ATTACK. I looked for anyone familiar to help and called out to a boy who helped Kak Lynn put her hantaran in since he was in the next room. To my surprise, he was shocked to see it lock as well. I was mentally facepalming so hard. He was asking around if any of the relatives know where's the key. Found out Kak Lynn has the key in her bag. I went back to the front to get hold of her bag (which is with her mother) and disturbed Kak Lynn (who was busy taking pictures) to look for it since I couldn't find. It wasn't in the bag. It was in her locked room instead. I felt like crying man. Kak Lynn was panicking a bit so she tried to run to her husband's car to get the spare key from him. And we were like "No way you need to be here it's your wedding and all" then she turned to her brother and told him to smash the door. I was hesitating to follow him agreeing to that. But since I was desperate to leave, I followed. He did smash the lock. By kicking the door. Once. Simply and quickly. Damn should've done that sooner.

I rushed out to the car with my unclasp ankle strap and shoes (and socks) covered with mud, walking as frustrated as ever. When I opened the car door, my dad was giving out sarcastic words and I couldn't help blurting out anger. It turned into a quiet ride home. Which I prefer.

I was back to normal after dinner. I can tell how sorry my dad feels when he bought me my favourite sambal paru when I only ask for nasi lemak with fried chicken and when he leave behind some of the chocolate biscuit when I didn't mind not having anyway.
Lol it was a temporary frustration so I didn't thought he'd take it to heart hahah /nobigdeal

Dropping by,
Melynn.
