1st Day of Uni!
Hey fellow readers, I'm finally in university YAYAYAYAYYYY!!! This happened too fast I kenot. It feels weird calling it a uni instead of 'college' but really, it is one. Oh well~
We arrived earlier than planned at the main campus of UTeM which is located in Durian Tunggal, Melaka. The registration started wayyy earlier than told. We were informed through the offer letter that it started at 12.30 noon buuut apparently when we arrived which was like 10 mins to 10am... It already started. "Registration start dari pukul 8 pagi tadi, bang", one of the volunteers told my dad. *cue Oh My Girl's Liar Liar Liar* Smh, tell us la yesterday...
Now, about the first impression.
UTeM main campus is seriously a beauty in sight. Everything seems new and well-built. It was an instant love. However, that is before we toured around the campus and found out it is extremely huge that moving to places by feet is nearly impossible. Along with the heat here in Melaka, believe me YOU'LL DIE! It seems that my life never escape from public transportation I tell ya.
Registration was damn fast. It was so systematic that it barely took 15 minutes to submit all the documents. We had to give exactly like what was stated in the buku panduan that they gave. Legitly no extra stuffs, only what was required which was actually vvv little things. Everything happened so quickly, I'm glad.
Now after I got the keys to my room. We were informed the place was outside of the campus. When we were driving to that place and tryna search for it... Never did we expect the residential area to be THAT far. I think it was about 10km from the main campus in Durian Tunggal. Idk whether it's a good thing that the place is located at the city or that it's bad that we will take more time just to travel. I'm staying at Kolej Kediaman Bunga Raya btw.
The place looks like a cheap flat so it only have stairs and my place is on the 4th floor. The stairs was tiring enough. I really wish I didn't have to see all those dirty stuff on my way up... It was very displeasing. My room on the other hand was decent enough. There's a toilet in my room so only my roommate and I will be using it. The rest of my housemates will be using the other toilet in that house. For the record, I have 4 other housemates excluding my roommate and I. There's another unused room but I have no idea if someone actually resides there.
This house really lack of socket plug. I am in the need to use them on a daily basis so that'll be a struggle for awhile. Since the rooms are quiet small (especially mine since ours has single beds instead of double decker), all the tables are placed outside at the living hall. So all my facial requirements needs to be outside of my own room on my study table.
My room has a wall fan buuut... It cannot oscillates. Seriously it only fan one freaking direction. And my bed isn't in that direction so I might either use my mini fan on my powerbank or just sleep in my own sweat. Too bad. As for the washing machines, they are all the way downstairs. I can tell how many times I'd do my laundry in a week already /sweat
There's also mamak, laundry shop and even a small convenient store nearby the flat area. Soo that's accessible enough for someone lazy like me. For today we have nothing planned for us anymore but we have a real get-to-know session tomorrow. At the mean time, I can't get a hold of my student wifi so I'm currently using the hotspot on my phone to surf the web. Thank God for the ample data my dad got us this month. We have like 35GB left to finish in a week. Pa, you can leave that to me. I tolong korang habiskan heheheh /wahaha
No pictures yet. I'll see if I can snap something when no one is around soon.
Dropping by in college,
Melynn.
