How's UPU?

by - May 17, 2016

As of today, I've finally got accepted to a public university through UPU. YASSS. My turn has arrived to start a new chapter in life (bak kata manusia sekalian after high school). So out of all 12 choices of universities, I guess I was pretty lucky to get offer for my second choice. I practically filled up the UPU form bluntly tbh. My choice of courses in order were TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING and ECONOMICS/ACCOUNTANCY/BUSINESS. The university which I got offer from is known as Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka or simply UTeM. And as you can see, I also got my first course choice covered. Is this what they call blessing...?

After checking the result, I then checked my offer letter and turns out the registration date is on 30th of May. HELL WHAT?!? This month? What? How? That fast? I haven't even settle any of my work matters. I was planning to have my last day of work on 30th not going to uni on 30th.

Ever since SPM result been released, let me just be frank... I never applied anything else other than UPU. And on top of that, UiTM wasn't even listed in one of the choices. Which was pretty risky as I had no other backup plans. Or I could just let myself end up in Form 6, which if things were to go wrong I'd rather wait for rayuan before doing that. I didn't want Form 6 because frankly I don't wanna go back to the schooling standards. I just feel like being in a proper university/ college has different kind of exposure for the future and besides, STPM is hard. That would be a pain for someone like me who barely passes SPM.

If you're wondering, I only scored 5As 4Bs 1C for SPM. I personally perceive that getting this kind of result shows that I ain't clever but I ain't exactly dumb as well. Simply said, I'm grateful with what I got. I know there's merit counting involves in the way UPU application works but I never really understand it. It's probably just luck lol.

5As pun jadilah
Furthering in a course at a uni which focuses on a smaller scope of certain field will hopefully allow me to develop more interest towards it. And not to give up on it too easily.

Now, going back to reality and face all these documents to submit. I might just get a headache figuring it out and settling things here. Lagi-lagi when you are working as a full-timer and has yet to tender your resignation letter smh /sweat
