I am having so much free time rn hahah. So here's another post where I will do a lil introduction about the most heavenly spot in uni - the library. I find this place SOOO DAMN COOL!! For a start, they have freakin HOVER BOARDS. I never tried riding it though just bcos I don't wear pants around campus so often since I brought vvv little amount of blouses. I will try, once I come back from raya break insyaAllah /hmm

View from my blogging spot

They have so many spots to hang around here. I'd show you everything but the place is so huge it'll pretty much be embarrassing to snap pics around lol. For a start, they have 3 floors - 1st (ground), 2nd and 3rd floor. The 1st floor has the widest place to be doing work and hang around. And there's also PCs available for students and no over-the-counter registration required to use them, BLESS.

Internet connections on the PCs are tip-tothetoppest-top but obvs privacy aren't bounded to happen. It's the reason why I still prefer laptops despite the better connection on PC. I really like to have personal space so library always provide that, plus great air-conditioning system (refers to only on the first floor though hahah bcos the rest of the floors always felt warmer).

Moving on to the 2nd floor, there is where you can find books, books and MORE BOOKSSS. I borrowed the books here and both the borrowing and returning process is seriously a bliss, I tell ya. They have self-service system so when borrowing there's this scanning machine that we can use to borrow books without the need to queue at the counter. Not to mention, wayyy faster. But even if you don't use it (like me, bcos there's smtg wrong with my student ID so I cannot use it... yet), there's barely people queuing at the counter anyway.

Similar to any other universities, they use the call number system to locate books. If you didn't know, call numbers are those numbers and alphabets they have on the side of most books. Call numbers make finding books to be easier compared to manually looking through multiple shelves. How we use call numbers though?

Well through my university's library's website where we register using our student IDs, we can log-in as a user and use the WebOPAC system. WebOPAC is where you look for the specific books you want and to see whether they are still available on-shelves. If it is, then all the shelves would be labeled by their alphabets and followed by numbers. Look for the first letter in the first line and then followed by the second to find specific shelves. I love this system bcos it makes finding books to be very professional-looking. And I love that feeling when I found the exact book I'm looking for.

3rd floor and 2nd are pretty much the same. Just the different kind of books on the diff levels AND what makes 3rd floor to be my preferred spot is the solo seats available. Normal libraries have the big rectangular tables with 4 or 6 chairs around and so is the 2nd and 3rd floor here. Unfortunately, I find it to be too much of a space for a single person. As someone who likes going to the library on my own, I always like the single seating they provide at the 3rd floor (like a study table concept) for a better privacy. In addition, 3rd floor is MUCH MORE QUIET than 2nd. I guess bcos 3rd floor seems too high up for lazy kids we all are. The library do have elevator BUT it's on maintenance and isn't functioning for now HAHAH PADAN MUKA.

I talked about borrowing system but I haven't mention bout the returning part. Other than the usual over-the-counter method, well there's a thing called 'Book Drop' here, It's basically a self-service method to return book. You put your book on the conveyor belt once you press the instructions on the screen and they'll automatically can detect the book. After that, your record for the book will be change from 'borrowing' to 'returned' TADAA!! Convenience at its best!

Other services include iPad loans for students in the library, discussion rooms (no advance booking required just first-come-first-serve) and carrel rooms for students who prefer enclosed space. For classes in library, there's viewing rooms for that. Probably there's a lot more things available but here are the ones I know of and remember.

I'm loving it here. It's very... urmm... technically advance haha /nobigdeal
My apologies for not having any useful pics. I was too rushed on wanting to share this experience without much thought of it heheh.

Going home in 12 hours.

"What do you miss most back home?"
After a month living here I still don't get how the internet runs here. One moment loading videos is fast af and the next all websites aren't loading at all... Idgi, someone pls enlighten me on this. But regarding what I miss most though... Parents? Nah, too cliche. Hahah jk lol but no, seriously  Homecook food? Psftt yeah but no. Just because I just miss being well-fed and not just specifically homecook hah. Imma just say it anyway... The one thing I reallyreallyreally miss back in my own little world besides a room to myself iiissss WIFI. Fast, secure, no disruption freaking internet connection is what I miss, A TON.

No matter whether I'm in or out of campus nothing beats the speedy connection I used to live by on the comfort of my bed. Doesn't matter if people all said the internet in the library on campus is fast and what-not NO GUYS YALL DON'T GET THE RELATIONSHIP I USED TO HAD WITH MY WIFI AT HOME. As much as I should be missing anything else, I feel pretty lost without proper internet connection. Not to mention the fact, I over-used our family data plan for the month and I practically had to live on wifi for heavy stuff like watching mere YouTube huhuhu. The tragic part is that I used up 12GB of hotspot in like 4 days YAY ME!! My dad had spoken so I have to avoid hotspot at all cost for the rest of the month. Reasons why I'm complaining more.

For an avid kdrama fan, I am dying inside during my free time. I usually will download an episode or two of drama to watch on-the-go ON A DAILY BASIS but now, hell no. To watch in the house also I'm struggling to load the video, inikan nak download hmph. Cray cray I haven't been watching any drama for a month and this ain't normal for me.

BUT sometimes when YouTube is reaching its peak point of the day, I normally will watch a few music shows or vlogs here and there. I don't really watch videos by YouTuber before just bcos... However, I have been following CupcakeAisyah's and Fathia Izzati's videos while I'm in uni. Idk why but I find them to be pretty entertaining and their vlogging and chitty chatty videos really suits my taste. Both 2 famous Asian YouTubers who speaks their mind well, in my opinion. That's how I kill my free time without kdramas lol.

As a compiler in my group assignment, waiting for all the stuffs are so tiring. You know when I'm trying to get everything done before I go home this week and all my other groupmates were like "Takde laptop nak buat" la "Thumbdrive rosak" la and giving all those excuses I'm just here like /dignose

Anyway, I'm done ranting. I might just go back to being a night owl. Byee.

One more week til I'm going home YAY!!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t
(and hello gais)

30th May ~ 30th June will mark my first month of university (and away from home). For the record, ever since I set my foot here in Melaka I have never once went home.

"Jarang orang Selangor tak balik weekend" was the common phrases I heard every time I told them I ain't going back that weekend. I feel kinda proud being this one-of-a-kind person. Homesick is yet to be felt so I'm glad that wasn't in my way.

Great thing about not being home on weekends is that I'm free to do whatever I prefer. I can go out if I like, wake up late if I want AND one thing that I have on weekends that I didn't have on any other days is A ROOM ALL TO MYSELF! I live with a roommate who's from Melaka so every Thursday after our last class (diploma students here don't have classes on Fridays), her parents will pick her up to go home. She'll come back usually on Sunday night around 10pm.

But living alone doesn't allow me to have all the relaxation I used to have back home. I gotta do my own laundry, ironing clothes, find my own food, some cleaning and those kind of 'chores'. It isn't so bad but still I have MORE THINGS to do.

It's good though cos I have more time here than I did at home. Even though, I wake up late most of my weekends I can still get things done if I want to. Meaning the distraction from m parents wanting to take the family out is not there. Friends here aren't such a big of distraction. I can simply refuse if I'd like to.

We already got some assignments coming both individual and group works. I completed my individual work for one of my class that same week as it was given and somehow people found out about it. I showed my lecturer a glimpse of what I did on my laptop and I think my friends saw it. To make things worse when people were talking about the assignment on the class whatsapp group, someone told the class about me being done with it. As expected, people started invading me with messages asking stuff about that assignment. I got sooo many messages that I don't even bother saving their numbers anymore. Guys or girls... everyone's the same.

Good thing is when people approach me (doesn't matter how), it's a great way to meet new people. Up until this date I've talked to more boys in my class than I did in my whole high school life. Aside from my groupmates, there's this guy I'm helping to check his assignment out and through that guy I met a bunch of new faces every single time he called me for help. You guessed it, they're all guys.

I'm not the kind to waste time chatting on whatsapp for fun or even layan-ing those people in class group chats. But I am fairly active when it comes to things that matter to me like with my housemates or groupmates. Or when someone calls out for me. Simply put, when I'm needed. I actually did talked with those noisy guys in class and I think irl they're better than behind those phones. In the sense, they're aren't so annoying in front of my face.

Speaking about this holy month, I've made a bond with a senior. She always invite me to break fast with her or perform the terawih at the nearby mosque or even take me to the seniors' house where many more of people my age were invited. I often see new faces when I go out with her and even familiar ones like those from the same faculty. She's playful just like me so it's fun teasing her and treating her like a friend instead of a senior. The seniors always share stories from the al-Quran and I like the fact that I'm able to gain more pahala this way instead of being at home wasting time. Not to mention, getting a whole lot new experience like eating in a talam for buka.

Alhamdulillah I've learnt to do what's right even if nobody's willing to do it with me. I've never missed terawih as long as I am here and even back home if my mum doesn't go I'll hesitate to go and ended up not. It's a surprise I'm having the heart to do so even if I'm on my own and it's true that good influence matters. I've met a friend from my class whom I never knew before at surau. If I hadn't been going for terawih, I probably will still remain anonymous. She's nice and it's good finding someone as rajin as you lol.

With all the good things happening, I hope this last 10 days of Ramadhan may we all be blessed with more good things and pahala insyaAllah.

After 2 weeks of being away from home, a lot of things happened in uni. Making friends and blending in wasn't really hard for me. I enjoy being alone anyway. I became close with my housemate because we also happened to be course mate. We often go to classes together so it's great to have a companion in class. I got myself away from being too attached to people in groups. It felt suffocating walking around in large numbers is2g. I tried and I hate it.

I finally talked to a guy in my class! ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCK. Lemme start by telling you my first impression of him... Well for a start, he seems like the judgmental guy who gave everyone this stare all the time. I might be perasan most of the time but that stare he directed at me a few times was creepy af. We were told to describe ourselves using an adjective in English class. Guess what he wrote? "Nervous" and when the lecturer asked him why he wrote that, he answered in the longest possible explanation compared to all the other boys. Nervous much? Liar!

At that point, I concluded that he's abnormal fosho. And the very next day when we were asked to make a group with mixed genders, he decided to approach my housemate. Of course, I went up to her that same moment interrupting the convo. I am in the same English class as that guy but my housemate isn't, so basically she haven't had any proper 'first impression' of him and his other friends. I wanted to refuse the offer so badly bcos it just can't be him JEOLDAE ANDWAE. But I decided on the spot that it might be for the best considering it'll take too much effort to look for other boys to form a group haiih.

We decided to take our group picture (we were required to for our presentation later on) the next class just to get it done and over with. I had what I think was a brilliant idea on what kinda of pose we should do buuut he was too freaking stubborn to listen to my plan so the pics turned out real bad. Not to mention, our cameraman sucks for taking pics without counting down and we were practically a mess in the pictures. Idk what's worse, the fact that some of our faces were blocked or that there's freaking recycle bins in the background... URGH

The bad impression does decrease when he came up to me in library and started sharing infos about the uni and asking if I found out anything too. We talked so all this 'bad' impressions changes until we had a pretty deep and thoughtful conversation after class yesterday. We were supposed to be discussing about the group project but after awhile we got distracted when he asked me to answer a test. A personality test known as The Four Temperaments.

I answered all the questions in front of him (since we were sitting side-by-side) and he totally agreed with what temperament I was given - sanguine.

"Your temperament is sanguine. The sanguine temperament is fundamentally spontaneous and pleasure-seeking; sanguine people are sociable and charismatic. They tend to enjoy social gatherings, making new friends and tend to be boisterous. They are usually quite creative and often daydream. However, some alone time is crucial for those of this temperament. Sanguine can also mean sensitive, compassionate and thoughtful. Sanguine personalities generally struggle with following tasks all the way through, are chronically late, and tend to be forgetful and sometimes a little sarcastic. Often, when they pursue a new hobby, they lose interest as soon as it ceases to be engaging or fun. They are very much people persons. They are talkative and not shy. Sanguines generally have an almost shameless nature, certain that what they are doing is right. They have no lack of confidence."

Well, I kinda agree with that description. DAMN I am predictable after all smh. He started sharing his background stories because he has siblings who are sanguine just like me. He said that he sensed this confidence aura in me ever since I spoke during our first English class. And like everyone else there, they envied my speaking ability lol. They haven't seen the world enough.

His life turns out to be pretty pitiful. Imagine after SPM he went straight to PLKN for 3 months and when he finally got out, he had 5 days ONLY to prepare himself before entering university. He is practically still bald rn hahaha I was really frank with him about him being bald though lol. He said they forced all the boys to shave their heads AGAIN before leaving PLKN. I can feel how mentally depressing he felt. Being far from home for months hoping to come back soon but in the end cannot because fate was calling. He told me he is phlegmatic which refers to shy and peaceful. Hell no way. But he convinced me that he wasn't confident in talking to people and prefers to be alone but he finds me somewhat easy to talk to. At that point, I have that kind of responsibility whereby he needs someone to comfort him with motivational words. Aaand I made things worse when I tell him my pov after SPM and how blessed I've been. I feel bad for him. We are getting pretty close. It wasn't awkward with him at all. Especially when he doesn't hang around in groups so that makes it more comfortable to me in sooo many ways.

I would share another story about a girl whom I got comfortable with but that'll make this post longer than it should've been. So I should stop now hahah I'll blog more soon when I can make time.

So after I got a new Windows 10 laptop I knew I needed to re-install Photoshop CS6 and Sony Vegas Pro 13 on it, however I obviously forgot how to do so. I have now successfully installed both programs after a few trial and errors. Mostly I just googled and watch videos on YouTube. I'll share those videos that worked for me. Different PCs might be different than one another so yours might be different than mine KEEP THAT IN MIND. What I share is how I got to solve my PC's problem, ok?

Let's start with Photoshop CS6.

*The vid was deleted I'm only left with the link. Soz.

Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9n1c6xokjvzo5gp/AADqXpqtBw1t1vJS3c63dVFMa?dl=0

I personally didn't face any problems on this one so hope you don't too. Next let's move on to Sony Vegas Pro 13!

*The vid was also deleted haiiih

Download link from my laptop : https://mega.nz/#F!QAk2UCaY!LSDQV5usw6UUpVcD44VDAg

In the video shown, I was only able to successfully installed the program but failed to run it. My situation at first was the patch folder had a problem - there was nothing in it! I found out I needed to turn off my firewall. I had McAfee installed so I'll show you a vid that specifically tells how to switch it off.

WATCH VIDEO DIRECTLY ON YOUTUBE

Once it's turned off, if you can run the program then great BUT if you faced something like I did whereby the patch given didn't work then continue reading.

I needed another patch number, serial number and authentication code to run the Sony Vegas Pro 13.

WATCH VIDEO DIRECTLY ON YOUTUBE

This helped a lot. Then what? ANOTHER PROBLEM! /floor

I couldn't get it to run and it kept showing me "Vegas Pro has stopped working" pop-up.

"But these vids are for Vegas Pro 11"
YESYES I'm well aware of that BUT I did made the changes to mine just like in those vids so I gave these links just in case it made any difference to the last video below (if you decided not to follow the 2 vids above).

After using this method, IT CAN RUN. Finally. I can now open the program and run it as usual.

I hope this saves you a little bit of your time. If you have any problem regarding the solutions in the videos, hit me up! I'll try to help you with whatever I know. Have fun editing!
